This NSW Pool of the year 2024 was envisioned as a serene, beach-style oasis tailored for a retired couple desiring proximity to family while embracing a holiday-like atmosphere at home.
The challenge was to incorporate a sizable pool with a spa into a tight backyard without compromising usable space. Our design team crafted an initial concept focusing on ease of maintenance, privacy, and robust entertainment areas, ensuring the pool acted as a natural extension of the home.
The final design boasts an 8m x 4m pool featuring a 0.6m bench with steppers and a 0.5m bench wrapped around all sides, perfect for relaxation and social gatherings. The pool's interior is finished with Ezzari Mosaic Tiles, reflecting the light and enhancing the water's natural hues, creating a visually stunning centerpiece. The design integrates a glass spa and a custom feature wall with an LED waterblade, which not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also maintains privacy from neighbouring double-storey homes.
Equipped with Hayward pumps and filtration systems, a dual Hayward heat pump and gas heater, and sophisticated Omnilogic automation, the pool exemplifies cutting-edge technology for ease of use and efficiency. Additional features include LED Aquaquip lights, spa jets, and Polaris soft-close hinges that contribute to the pool's luxurious feel. The project's complexity was managed through meticulous coordination with house builders to ensure seamless construction timelines, despite tight access challenges.
